I don't know how I feel about this...

I have lusted after this Anthropology necklace for so long that I have a folder in my photos section of the computer with pictures of different people wearing it. Sad, I know, but it was just a little too expensive full price and I missed out when it went on sale.

Anthropologie Necklace 2
So last week, when I was perusing the shelves of Atlantas "Rag-O-Rama" and I saw it, in my favorite color no less,  my heart skipped a beat.

It feels just how I remember; heavy at the base with the yummiest, softest fabric to tie it around the neck, it is just  beautifully made; but being from a second hand shop I'm not 100% sure that it is the "real" Anthropologie necklace.
Especially because I keep seeing this

all over Pinterest.
I love to make things, and I love the satisfaction of getting a great deal, but I'm not sure if I like the idea of taking something so literally. I'd like to think that when I am inspired by something that I do not copy the original work exactly.
I suppose on the same note you could say that me buying it second hand is just as bad as it means that I made no contribution to the designer either.
These are just thoughts, I'm not sure what my stance is, all I know is I love my necklace.

Everyday Art

I've never jumped on the nail art bandwagon before because I've never had nails before. One of the lovely benefits of taking a prenatal vitamin every day is that my nails and hair have grown long and strong, so I guess that makes up for nausea and constipation and fatigue....right? TMI? Probably. Sorry. Here's my adventures in nail painting to make up for my faux pas.

Polka dot shirt from The Gap, Necklace from Givenchy, Nail Polish from Forever 21

Sally Hansen "Concrete" and "White On" - I used a toothpick to draw on the patterns

Sally Hansen "Mint Sorbet" and Butter London's "Teddy Girl" (My favorite ever...you'll know why soon enough)

Sally Hansen in "Concrete" (Holding my 20 week baby bump)

Sally Hansen "Mint Sorbet" the exact same color as my birthday earrings.

I love that Sally Hansens Xtreme wear nail polish is $3, it makes such a big difference to an outfit. Hopefully I will have kicked my nail biting habit for life!

A little more round than usual.

I'm 32 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and I have the bump to prove it!
The summer is hot, so finding comfortable things to wear has been a challenge.
I do love this outfit though. I got a pair of stretchy maternity jeans from "Destination Maternity" that are very comfortable and were very affordable.
This shirt is from Macys "American Rag" line, and is such a lovely rust color.

My necklace is from Forever 21 and cost me $6.80! Up close it looks like it could be from a foreign land as it's so intricate. The only way you can tell I scored it on the cheap is the lovely green ring around my neck after I take it off...I've got to try that nail polish trick. Until then- Hair down it is.

Sleeping Late

Last week one of my business partners was on vacation which meant my sleep schedule was all over the place as we had to cover different shifts than we were used to.
Every morning I am beeped awake by my alarm at 5.25am. It's still dark outside, there are few cars on the road and I allow myself 20 minutes to get ready before leaving the house. This means planning my outfits the night before and rocking the "bed head" look more often than not. But last week I got a couple of opportunities to sleep a little later and take my time to get ready. It felt nice.

Dress- Target ($8!!!!), Cardigan- Ross, Earrings- Francescas, Nail Polish- Mac "Shirelle" with a Sally Hansen heart design sticker on my ring finger.

Summer Curls

The summer in Atlanta is pretty crazy. One minute it's 111 degrees and sunny, the next it's raining like crazy and lightning is striking my friends houses.
Because of this I've been wearing my hair curly. Nature provided me with a hair texture  that is for want of a better word random, so I use my t3 straightening iron and twist it  because the iron gets hot on the outside of the barrel too.
My hair is at that in-between stage where it's not quite a bob, but too short to be long yet. Sometimes I've ended up with Betty Boop hair which has been fun.

Lipstick is MAC Liberty of London Collection in "Ever Hip"

Mostly I just pin it up.
I've been looking on pinterest to see if there are some cool things I can learn how to do. I love all these braids

but my hair is fine and thin, so I've been accessorizing with barrettes and hairbands

Barrette from Anthropologie
and then for days when I really can't be bothered I've just distracted people from my messy hair with red lips and Hello Kitty inspired sunnies!

Lipstick is Lancome "Valentine",Eye  Liner is Benefit Babe Cake ( I love you and miss you) and glasses were from an independent store called "Psycho Sisters" in Little 5 Points Atlanta

Hooray summer! (Only a little sarcasm was in that)

Hellooooooo...

So, remember this picture?

Well, I didn't know it then, but I was a couple of weeks pregnant in this photo. Crazy! Well, not super crazy, I have been married to an exceptionally wonderful and handsome man for almost 7 years now.  We were eventually going to start a family, I just didn't know it would be this year!
So, between morning (all day) sickness, opening a brand spanking new business and generally being exhausted all round, I have neglected DollfacedLynne. A LOT!
But I really miss it, so I'm coming back. I need a place to chat about clothes and bags and the little things that make me happy.

I am due to have a baby boy in September, so I'm not putting pressure on myself, this will be a creative place of inspiration for me, and I am happy that I have an outlet like this.

So, lets begin, we got a whole lot of catching up to do!
