Southern Uncomfortable

Halloween is so fun, I love an excuse to wear a sparkly fedora, have gunfights in bars and wear an inappropriate length skirt!

Jacket- Macys
 Skirt- Gap
Lace shirt- Forever 21
Pocket watch- Gift from my sister
Fedora- Halloween store
Tights- ASOS (ones with seams down the back)

Mike, the karaoke DJ scared the shit out of me with this wolf mask. It even moved when he talked. Creeeepy!

My friend Mark was visiting from England. We did an excellent rendition of Warren G and Nate Dog's "Regulate".
We also have to make sure that there's a photo of us throwing up the "A-Town" sign before we go to bed.
Anyone wanna marry this guy real quick so we can hang out all the time. There are so many more 90's rap choons we need to do at SoCo.

Hope y'all had a happy Halloween!

Amy, Amy, Amy

Amy Winehouse brooch by Burndt Offerings on Etsy

I feel like I've lost a friend.
God damn it! I really wanted you to prove everyone wrong.

I’m so glad I got to see you in such an intimate venue and hear you sing my favorite song.

I’m angry because I wish I had more. Of you, your music, your talent. I wish I knew there would be more moments in my life when my heart would stop because I heard you sing a song for the first time. You were one of the best.

A new me.

Last week I chopped off my hair and dyed it dark brown. It was completely spur of the moment, but I feel good. My hubby told me that I look more sophisticated, which I thought was sweet. I know that I'll go red again, but I feel like every one and their mama has red hair right now, and I needed a change.

I went music shopping with my friend Laura yesterday. I like to go to 2nd hand music stores every now and again when I panic about them going out of business. They're a dying breed and it makes me sad. I LOVE spending an afternoon visiting record shops, being reminded of albums from my past, it's like they're friends that I haven't seen for a while, and over coffee and conversation I remember why I liked them in the first place.
