Fall into a new flow
Days like today make me want to stop time and be able to look at every sun ray bouncing off every color changing leaf.
I love this fall especially because it means 2013 is almost over.
It's been the toughest year of my life.
I'm working towards making it better, so I started my blog again, hopefully it will give me the creative outlet I so desperately need.
How are y'all anyway?

Size "Lynne" please!
Every now and again someone asks me where I got my pants/shirt/jacket etc, and every now and again the answer is "Anthropologie". Any time that is my answer, the person asking inevitably squints their eyes a little as if to say "they make her size there?" Well, let me answer that question for all y'all.
No.
Anthropologie does not carry an 18, 20, or 22 in a skirt or pant, or do they offer a 3xl in any shirt or cardigan, but sometimes an XL can be sufficient. Because you know what? You never know until you try!
So I encourage you all, when you see something you love, try it on! You never know...unless it's a size 6 or something, that will never work ;)

The PERFECT sweater
Even though Anthropologie technically only goes up to a size 16 in some clothes I still try things on that look like they might fit.
Every now and again they do ( approximately 1 in 20 times would be my guess).
I am so glad I tried this sweater on.
It
is thin enough to not add a whole lot of extra weight to my frame, but
snuggly enough to keep me warm.
I adore the little button on the
neckline that attaches the drape; It's such a cool design element.
I honestly think it's the PERFECT sweater.

Unmellow Yellow
I've been off work for a week now because it was getting to be too much for me and my bump.
My doctor also said that she'd be shocked if I made it to 39 weeks without going into labor. Alas, I'm still knocked up, still as big as a house, still hot and bothered and ready to meet my baby boy.
I'm trying to relax and enjoy this time to myself before I have a teeny noise machine attached to me at all times, but I'm so impatient. And I want to spend as much time with my little guy before I go back to work.
Here's what I wore to Ikea, Target, the Dollar Store, and to make chicken, macaroni and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes for dinner (Oh what an exciting life I lead!)
Top- Ella Moss at Anthropologie
Shorts- Destination Maternity
Flip Flops- Target
Necklace- Made by me
I'm making the most of my hair as pregnancy has done wonders to it! Hopefully it is a distraction from my disappearing ankles which have not favored so well through this adventure.
I made this necklace last night using 3 different necklaces that didn't really excite me anymore. I painted a couple beads with yellow nail polish, one with grey and left the rest natural wood. I strung them onto a dark metal chain. I really like the color combination of yellow and grey and brown. Who would have thunk it?
Fingers crossed next time I post there will be a baby in my arms!

I don't know how I feel about this...
I have lusted after this Anthropology necklace for so long that I have a folder in my photos section of the computer with pictures of different people wearing it. Sad, I know, but it was just a little too expensive full price and I missed out when it went on sale.
So last week, when I was perusing the shelves of Atlantas "Rag-O-Rama" and I saw it, in my favorite color no less, my heart skipped a beat.
It feels just how I remember; heavy at the base with the yummiest, softest fabric to tie it around the neck, it is just beautifully made; but being from a second hand shop I'm not 100% sure that it is the "real" Anthropologie necklace.
Especially because I keep seeing this
all over Pinterest.
I love to make things, and I love the satisfaction of getting a great deal, but I'm not sure if I like the idea of taking something so literally. I'd like to think that when I am inspired by something that I do not copy the original work exactly.
I suppose on the same note you could say that me buying it second hand is just as bad as it means that I made no contribution to the designer either.
These are just thoughts, I'm not sure what my stance is, all I know is I love my necklace.

Getting Creative for Christmas.
I can't tell you how annoyed I've been this week trying to find a Christmas Party dress.
Everything I came across looked like an old lady would wear it to church on Easter, or a girl with a name ending in an "i" would wear it to earn a little extra Christmas money (nudge nudge, wink, wink).
So after 6 hours, 2 lattes and countless "oh heeeeellllllll no"'s on Friday, I finally just bought this tank from Old Navy.
I thought it was a little predictable, so I clasped the straps together in the back with my Grandmothers pin to make things a little more interesting.
I put pretty flowers in my hair to be more festive :)

I actually danced all night in this. Hooray for Christmas parties!
