Dream outfit

Last Saturday I held an art show for the super talented Jonquel Norwood and Lizzy Falcon. Their theme was "fairytales gone awry" so the gallery was basically a wonderland.
With the walls basically being a celebration of kick ass chicks, It seemed like the perfect time to rock a red jumpsuit.

Peach lace

Sometimes you are blessed by the fashion gods and you find something that is so perfectly "you" that it sits in your closet because you're terrified to wear it incase you ruin it.
This top was on a velvet hanger for way too long, I finally gave it life today!

*sigh* it's just perfect.

Java Jive

Ou

Me and my good friend Betsy have been having breakfast dates once every couple  of weeks to chat, laugh, sometimes cry and discover all the delicious brunch offerings Atlanta has to offer.
This week we hit up Java Jive a sweet 50's diner that has been on Ponce de Leon for two thirds of my life.
We'll definitely be back!

Betsy's shoes are the moccasins; so cute!
My boots are $20 Target finds that I will wear until they fall off me.

The interior of Java Jive is so adorable. There are around 12 sets of vintage dinettes to sit at. I'm glad Betsy got there first and decided for us.

The food was definitely cooked with love, the coffee was scrumptious and the staff were super cool and laid back, but still attentive.

Rockabilly cheapskate

Those websites that have rockabilly clothing for plus size bodies are soooo expensive.
With those lovely clothes in mind I stopped dead in my tracks when I found some tattoo inspired iron on patches not too long ago. I attached them to a cardigan that has been in my wardrobe for a long long time and made something that would probably cost me $100 for less than $15.
I love the results!

The higher the hair...

My hair has changed since I've had Teddy. The ends seem dryer, the color is a little lackluster and handfuls come out in the shower.  This is all normal after having a baby. It just sucks for want of a better word as it was so very lovely when I was pregnant. Oh well.

Usually the first thing I would do when I get sick of my hair is chop as much of it off as possible, but I'm giving myself until the end of the year before I get scissor happy.

Here are a few styles I've tried out

A little bit of a poof. (how cute is my baby in his moose suit?)

Center part and wavy texture.

Giant bow for Christmas!

Yet another go at the beehive. I really want to get this right.

Straight.

 Middle part Helga Braids

What do you think guys? Shall I chop my bob back? Or just deep condition the heck out of my hair and keep it long?

Geordie Girl

Hooray! Today I wore real clothes!
I'm from Newcastle Upon Tyne in England, our football (soccer) team wears black and white stripes, so any time I see anything black and white I instantly think of home :)

Shirt- Simply Be
Skirt- Macys
Shoes- those red ones I wear ALL THE TIME
Earrings- Dorothy Perkins

I also like that this top kinda looks like a pjama top so it wasn't too much of a big leap into "real clothes" territory. Hee hee.

Shiver Shiver Sniff Sniff

The Tanzer household has been rather sad and sniffly this past week. We've been sharing our sicknesses with each other. This means that my outfits have consisted of pjamas and slippers I'm afraid, hence the lack of updates.
I have had time to browse all of my favorite clothing websites being cooped up in this place, so here is my "Holy guacamole Batman, I hope this is really cheap in the sales after Christmas so I can buy it and love it" list.

First ASOS Curve

Image 1 of ASOS CURVE Skater Dress With Lace Peter Pan and Belt
I love the sleeve length and sweet collar on this skater dress. It has a little keyhole in the back too. Details like this make a dress feel special.

Image 1 of ASOS CURVE Exclusive Shirt in Rabbit Print
This bunny print shirt is adorable. I would wear this at an art show opening.

Image 4 of ASOS CURVE Blouse With Waterfall & Wrap
This shirt is so luxe looking. I know I'd wear it forever.

This just makes me happy.

This outfit needs to get on me NOW!
Maybe it's the 90's kid in me. I think she looks like a grown up Clarissa :)

Image 1 of ASOS CURVE Exclusive Belted Coat with PU Sleeves
I never thought a coat could be sexy, but this is. *sigh*

Image 1 of ASOS CURVE Exclusive Dress In Scatter Sequins
When I first saw this dress I gasped....then I gasped at the price tag :(
Please be under $75 soon! I can't justify $147.76...or can I?It's just so pretty.

Ok, next up

This dress could work anywhere. I'm digging the watermelon color too.

I wear the heck out of my black and white tank, so one in my favorite color seems like a good idea.

This sweater would make anyone smile

This jacket is similar to an ASOS Curve jacket I still mourn the loss of.

I love basics with a twist.
There's only 1 thing I want from Old Navy

Women's Printed Pintucked Tops | Old Navy
I am feeling all these hearts everywhere.

Simply Be
has some pieces that I like a lot

Shoe Print Dress - Length from 38in
That's a shoe print dress!

And Abigial Sequin Trim Top

This shirt glows.

Jacquard Cardigan Coat - Length from 31in
This looks oh so cozy. I want to wear it with red jeans!
I also pretty much want all of the Frock and Frills line as it's so romantic.

So, that's it for now.
I'll be back with an outfit soon I swear.
UNless I can get away with wearing pjs to work tomorrow....

Circus Pants

Top- Karen Kane
Pants- Simply Be
Ballet Flats- Old Navy
Earrings- Francescas

See that smile on my face? That's because I am wearing super comfy pants.
In a world of skinny jeans and cigarette pants Simply Be has provided me with a pair of pants that won't make me feel like my thighs are in a straight jacket, squeeze my hips into busted can of biscuit territory (worse that a muffin top) or make me have to lie down to zip them up.
Although my trousers may have been worn by a circus clown before me, I couldn't care less.
I love them!
