Party Dress

My friend Mandy had a sweet birthday party at her house yesterday.
She made a rad playlist on spotify that played a great song from every year since she was born. I thought it was a great touch and a great conversation starter.
It was 94 degrees at 7pm so I tried to wear as little clothing as possible. I really love this dress, the fabric is a little stretchy so I feel like I can breathe easily. Plus it has pockets!!! Yay, yay, yay!

Dress- Ross
Shrug- New Look

Step into my office...

I'm a painter. I always have been. When I was a child I thought everyone ran home to break out their watercolors and paper, not sit and watch back to back episodes of Grange Hill.
So, I've already welcomed you into my closet, now I'd like to invite you into my favorite space, my office.

Top- (it was a dress that I cut up) Old Navy
Jeans- New Look
Flip flops- Target
Hat- the Icing
Earrings- Rag-o-rama

My necklace was a present from my hubby for my birthday, he had it made specially for me! Yippee :)
Look at Marvin upstaging me and showing me how to pose! Meow! He should strut his stuff on a catwalk...yeah, that was a bad joke. Sorry.

Spring feeling.

On Thursday night the ladies decided to get together and have a girlie night with wine and cupcakes!
I thought I'd dress sugary sweet for the occasion.
There's just something so wonderful about a floral dress.

Lip gloss- MAC's Viva Glam Gaga (every penny goes to the MAC aids fund, go buy one today!)

Fashion Police!

Me and my friend/business partner Krystle went to an art show on Saturday called Streetela. There were a bunch of cool artists to check out.
We had a lot of fun..and couldn't resist having fun with this wall.

Dress- ASDA (UK brand)
Shrug -New Look
Watch- Michael Kors
Bag- Lucky Brand
Earrings- Anthropologie

gig gear

On Friday night me and David decided to cheer ourselves up by boogying the night away at the Scizzor Sisters concert. It's humid and pretending to be summer in A town, so I chose my outfit with great care. My trusty boots, so I'd be comfortable, a top knot because I know I'd get sweaty, and my floral dress from New Look.

Hee hee, I need some sun on my legs!
Cardigan- Gap
Dress-New Look
Boots- Steve Madden
Earrings- gift from Grandma

I feel like my springy dress is a little shorter then I would like, but I felt good! And I didn't pass out from heat exhaustion, so I think it was a good choice :)

Of course I didn't look as cool as Ana Matronic...but who could?

I love her hat! It's a red glitter paper aeroplane :)

Wild Child

The sun came out to play yesterday and so did this new t-shirt from "Yours Clothing". I'd been waiting for my package of clothes from them since Christmas day!  Bad weather in the UK followed by the tomfoolery that ensued after Georgia was hit with ice meant that I didn't receive it until valentines day!
This shirt was obscenely long and too big, so I decided to cut it off below the hip with my kitchen scissors and see if I could rock a look that conjured up "Fame: The Movie". It's super soft and comfy, and I didn't accidentally show off my bra too much ;)

Sunglasses: Missoni
Shirt: Yours Clothing (minor alterations)
Bra: Vanity Fair
Jeans: New Look
Shoes: Blowfish ( currently my favorites, they're so comfortable)
Necklace: Topshop (an amazing gift from my sister Nicola)
Ring: Anthropologie

Such gorgeous weather, you wouldn't think that a month ago we were snowed in!

Snowpocalypse

Atlanta has been at a stand still for most of the week. The snow came down on Sunday night, then the freezing rain came and outfitted the city in a blanket of ice. This has meant that I didn't leave the house for 5 days! I live on Peachtree Road, which is one of the busiest streets in Atlanta, and seeing an accident every 20 minutes (I kid you not) meant that I was too scared to risk it.
So, last night me and my hubby had decided that mother nature had kept us captive long enough, we were going to our friend Jay's album listening party. It was awesome! I danced, sang and sipped on some Malibu, I almost forgot it was freezing outside.

Coat- Old Navy
Top- Macys
Jeans- New Look (UK)
Bag- River Island (UK)
Earrings- Anthropologie
Necklace- Betsey Johnson pendant on a vintage chain
Pin- Vintage find in Hexham antique shop in Northumbria (UK)
Sour puss because it's cold out!

The rest of the week I've pretty much just looked like this, drinking coffee, tea and hot chocolate from my "soft kitty" mug.
Lets hope next week I have a reason to put on pants!

I'm with the band!

Last night me and my husband went to see our friend Siraaj play in his band "FYN" at Vinyl in Midtown.
I was wary about the sound seen as though they're a rock band and he's a trumpet player, but I was pleasantly surprised. The trumpet added a cool groove, which made it sound like Funkadelic.
It was cool; I danced, laughed at the 2 man mosh pit and got to hang out with my hubby past bedtime.

Forgive my blurry eyes, my eyes water when it's windy.
Jacket-Macys (it's pleather, not leather unfortunately)
Guitar T-shirt- Delias
Jeans- New Look
Shoes- Kohls (I was so excited to get these from my best friend Leah for Christmas.
Sometimes I don't want to wear heels when I go out, and these pewter shoes still feel special enough to deserve a cocktail.)
Bag-See by Chloe (perfect size for a music venue, I do wish the strap was a little longer though)

I wore "Silverstroke" eyeliner and "Mocha" blush by MAC and  Too Faced glamour gloss in "Pillow Talk". I love the way the glamour gloss tingles on your lips. The packaging is really pretty too.
