November Rain

It was my husbands 30th yesterday! So we went and hung out with friends, ate greasy bar food, drank PBR and generally had a grand old time.

 I feel like a Forever 21+ sponsor, I can not get enough of their clothes! They're so affordable and always fit! It's a dream come true :)

It's finally getting a little chilly so next time I may be wearing tights....SO excited!

Black and white date night.

I usually don't spend too much time in "real clothes" on the weekends because I spend most of the day in work out clothes, then after I'm exhausted it's straight to the pj's!

So last night when my hubby suggested we go out for dinner I decided I would make a little more effort than just my "new zumba pants".

Today I signed my offer to work for M.A.C cosmetics as a freelance employee. I'm excited about it. I miss doing make up, and I'm so glad I get to do precisely that and not have to worry about opening store credits!

So I go back to M.A.C. (sang to Amy Winehouse's '"Back to Black)

I've obviously been watching too much mad men and seeing the "Rolling in the Deep" Adele music video too much because I've been teasing my hair like I'm OK with the idea of having to shave it all off!

Party Dress.

Yesterday was Leah's birthday. She decided that the best way to celebrate this would be to go to a Japanese karaoke bar and sing some tunes in a private room. It was a LOT of fun, especially when we did a "kamikaze round" which means other people pick the songs you sing.

A night on the town.

This evening me and my hubby went down town to check out an art exhibition featuring the Papertwins. We had a great time, and seen as though it was an art show and I knew everyone there would be a little edgier with their dress I decided to be brave and try a look I've admired on others for a while but have been too scared to wear myself.

I got mine from yoursclothing.co.uk for super super cheap during their end of year clearance. It was less than $20, which is pretty much the most I'll spend on something I want to "try" or is super "fashionable" and will be dated in 3 weeks tops :)

I have to say I was super comfortable all night, peeing was not a pain in the booty and I was complimented by those I knew and some strangers. The fabric is so soft that it felt as if I was wearing pajamas. 

I think it may just be my summer cocktail-night staple.

Have I told you how much my denim jacket makes me smile?

Well, it does, it's from Parisian; and cost me around $30.

It is the perfect thing to go over anything. I just have one rule for myself, and that's I don't wear my blue denim jacket with my blue jeans.Only really cool hipster girls can get away with that and I'm fine not being one of them.

It works over a fancy dress for a fancy party

or over a casual dress for a festival.

Or anything in between. I've had one in my closet for 17 years!
