There is no such thing as "Too many sequins"...Unless you're talking about Jessica!

As soon as I saw these photos of Jessica from "Too Many Sequins: A Fashion Blog" I was in love.

I mean, here was a curvy girl rocking some amazing clothes, looking as cool as a cucumber and I wanted EVERYTHING. SHE. WAS.WEARING! Best part? All her clothes are made in my size! Eeek!
I read her entire blog twice one afternoon, and even printed out a couple of pictures of her outfits to put on my closet mood board.
(I hope this doesn't sound creepy Jessica)
I really dig her style; and having someone who has a similar shape to me being so utterly fabulous makes me feel empowered.
I love the way she mixes high fashion items with high street finds, embraces non neutral colored shoes and gives a middle finger to any so-called "plus size fashion rules".
Her closet is in a word dreamy, and she's really super sweet too.

I asked Jessica to answer a couple of questions for me, and she was nice enough to oblige.

Me- What are 3 pieces of clothing that you can absolutely not live without?
Jessica-Shape wear - To every great outfit there has to be a great foundation underneath it.
Dresses - Im a girls girl and I adore dresses. I have a space in my closet completely devoted to the ones I own.
Shoes - Growing up and being a teenager with size 11/12 feet, it was super hard to find lush shoes in my size. But the shoes that are available now is size 11/12 are amazing, so I never ever deny myself a pair!

Irregular Choice's "Cortesan Queen" (no longer available)
What is your favorite piece of jewellery that you own?
My Unicorn necklace. It's by Peaches Geldof for MADE, its all recycled copper and its made under Fair Trade practices. So its not just pretty to look at, but I know that it was made ethically.

 What is your favorite accessory?
That is like asking me to pick my fave child if I had one. Right now though I'm loving big necklaces - I love how glamorous they make an outfit.

Biggest splurge on one item and was it worth it?
My biggest splurge would have to be my Chanel bag. It cost a small fortune but it goes with everything and it's something I will always have!

 Best bargain?
I've been lucky enough to get ALOT of bargins in my 24 years, but recently I got 5 pairs of shoes for only $100!

 Who are your style Icons?
My grandmother.Shes such a graceful lady, who has always been a classic dresser but she keeps things fun and interesting by mixing quriky pieces in with very classic ones.
I also love Alexa Chung - her hair is amazing. (I agree)

And I love actress's from back in the day like Lucille Ball, Lauren Bacall and Doris Day.
Lucille Ball

In your opinion every woman should own...
A dress. A simple dress or a ball gown, what ever takes your fancy and whatever makes you feel like a gazillion dollars. But I think its something that every woman should own.

What do you love about the plus size blogging experience, and what do you hate about it?
I love everything about it. From putting my outfits together, to taking and editing photos. The best part is when I get an email or a comment from someone who reads the blog and lets me know that its helped them in some way, that is the biggest gift to me - to know I've helped out in some way. There is honestly nothing I hate about it, I've only ever received one bad comment and that was because someone didn't like my tights. I can't and don't dress to please anyone but myself, so I can't be upset when someone doesn't like it! :) And there are always going to be people who have something nasty to say, so you kinda have to learn to roll with the punches.

Who is your favorite fashion blogger?
I can't choose! This is a really unfair question :P There are some many bloggers that I take inspiration from - so heres a quick list.
But there are so, so many amazing bloggers around!

Thanks so much Jessica, I really enjoyed your answers.
 You inspire me, doll!
Keep it up!

  1. I love Jess! She's such an amazing girl. I not only love her style, but I adore her as a person and admire her a great deal. Can't believe she mentioned me as one of her faves, even though we are established blogger BFF's. LOL. Great post Lynne! Now following :)
